Remaining Schedule Update going into ASB

Just have the Lakers to go before ASB on Wednesday. We’re alone in the 7th spot, but only 3 games behind 3 seed Sacramento right now. The Pels have the easiest remaining schedule in the league coming out of the ASB. Clippers, Kings and Suns have 3 of the hardest 5 remaining schedules in the league.
I think the Pels go 16-8 the rest of the way and 46-36 would just about guarantee a top 4 seed with the parity we’ve seen so far this season. I have a Lakers win included in my prediction though and the West race is going to be tight so hope we win to get some needed momentum going into the break. Ingrams postgame comments say the team still has the 10 game L streak weighing on their minds.

16-8 is pretty optimistic, 14-10 would be solid.

So you’re saying there’s a chance…

I really think we are fighting with the Kings for the 6th seed.
Den, Mem, Phx, Dal and LAC are all too talented and healthy to keep pace with. I'd love to be wrong though. Need to get 6th seed and avoid play in game vs healthy Warriors

I’m still optimistic about us railing off 7 straight. I have us beating Lakers on Wed, winning all these and going .500 in the rest of the games. Losing a couple of those wouldn’t surprise me at all though just based off our luck with injuries alone. I’m really hoping we get news Zion can be back by this stretch. That’s a month away.

That Dallas offense is still pretty scary though. Their defense and rebounding will be their Achilles heel though.

the problem I see is that while we have the easiest schedule remaining (I assume you got that from Tankathon)...
Current West Standings as of 10:45 PM CST Feb. 13 - Strength of schedule remaining from link above
1) DEN - 20
2) MEM - 25
3) SAC - 4
4) PHX - 5
5) DAL - 28
6) LAC - 3
7) NOP - 30
8) MIN - 12
9) GSW - 14
10) UTA - 17
(as of this writing... the GSW leads WASH by 17 late 3rd & POR leads LAL by 22 in the 4th)
just 3 teams ahead of us have a remaining schedule that's in the top half of difficulty (1-15)... granted those 3 have a top-5 difficulty which could allow them to slip but we're going to be in a dog fight to get to a top-4 seed even if we ride the easy schedule and improving health (knock of all of the wood)
that being said... a lot of teams we would be fighting to avoid the play-in tournament seem to have tougher schedules too... so hopefully they lose and we can at least qualify for the main playoff field without needing to make an appearance in the play-in

I didn't mean to reply to you in my last post... that was supposed to be a reply to the OP... my bad

did they get any deeper at the trade deadline?
their bench depth could be a big issue with the Mavs too... it seems like when we played them... whenever Luka went out... we made some kind of run
usually by then we were down like 20... but still... my point remains

Dallas is an injury away from falling apart.

Yesterday, the sky was falling, and we should probably trade Zion for a bag of chips while we can still get that. Tonight, we're going to win 2/3 of our remaining games. This board ...

I talked about their bench depth... or lack thereof... Kyrie scored 26 in the 4th quarter alone tonight to almost lead a massive comeback against the T-Wolves... alas... Dallas fell 3 points short

Dallas has to play a bunch of weird guys all game to fill the rotation
I think their 4th best player might be Josh Green rn
I think Maxi Kleber is injured. He would probably help a bit. Bertans is also injured.
Neither is great, but they are floor spacers and Maxi seems to be above average defensively.

It's going to be a struggle
Final minutes of last night's win were ugly, and without BI making some very tough midrange jumpers we probably lose
We'll see how they do against LAL if Lebron plays
Just get that 6 seed.. and hopefully avoid PHX
