The Lakers did REALLY well at the deadline. Really, really well.
But it moved the needle from probably no play in to probably in the play in and that's about it. Surprised at this KoC take.
I'd bet virtually anything that they don't win a title this season, there is no chance of that.
They still have a good bit of work to do just to get to the play in, that's not remotely a lock. They're not likely to get to a 7th seed, so then they have to win 2 straight games just to make the playoffs.
All in all, they're going nowhere this season. Nothing has changed in that regard. Only thing that changed is that Pels pick probably isn't looking quite as good as it did 2 days ago.

All of this. Even if they manage to somehow get into the playoffs, they aren't winning a first round series.
