I am very worried about them
The Clippers, Kings and Suns all have top 10 remaining SOS with the Clips and Kings being 2 and 3. The Pels have the 4th easiest remaining SOS. LINK
As long as the Pels don't have any new injuries to BI/Zion I would expect them to finish top 6 and not have to worry about the Lakers at all.

But they now have the roster to do it, and if they can, they will be as tough an out if healthy as anyone in the West. That roster can matchup and give problems to any team in the West if they are healthy.
IF they make it past the play in they are getting smoked in 4 or 5 vs Den/grizz/pho
Do yall not realize that LeBron is currently battling a foot issue that kept him out of last night’s game and he took himself out of a winnable game that they really needed to win just 2 days ago?
LeBron looks more energized than ever? He achieved the scoring record and then voluntarily took himself out of a game that would have moved them up in the standings had they won.

I didn’t say the toughest, I said as tough as any.
There are a good 4-5 teams right now that in my mind can push for a chip if healthy and hitting at the right time: Denver, Memphis, LAC, NO, PHO, Dal, and I believe LAL has put themselves in that mix. Their biggest hurdle is climbing out the hole they dug.
One that requires health that AD/Lebron have not shown the last couple seasons. But if they pull it off like the Pels did, I would not want to play them.
My hope though is street clothes reverts to his natural state, in street clothes, and Lebron starts piling on the lingering issues again.

Don’t really agree
A healthy Lakers squad as now constructed can match up with any of those teams. Pho sacrificed depth for trying the Brooklyn formula in the West, and I don’t think it works out for them. Denver’s biggest issue in the playoffs remains they can’t stop anyone. The Lakers are actually the perfect foil for that team. All three could beat LA, but LA could beat them too.
Again, we can just wait to see what happens. Maybe it takes too long to gel and the team can’t climb out, maybe health derails them, or maybe they look like world beaters and collapse. But on paper, and from what I have seen of these players, they are going to fit really well together.

Makes me sick that any team would try to help the Lakers. Danny Ainge can get fricked

We are 1000% a top 10 team in rankings

You should be worried too about a team with Lebron James and Anthony Davis that doesn't look like it was put together by retarded monkeys.
The current roster now actually makes sense.

We're not battle tested like some of the other squads and rely on a lot of young and inexperienced players. I think we are somewhere between 10-12 but we have a lot to prove in the playoffs.
Our best player has never played in the playoffs and we didn't exactly shore up our deficiencies in the front court.
Is it possible we make a magical run like Phoenix did? Sure but the West is so insane this year that it's probably unlikely.

Its fair points. They haven't been great since the bubble.
But the team they have had has just been SO poorly constructed, so lacking in depth, that it is hard to put it on them.
We are not used to the Lakers making good moves, or any moves that make a lick of sense.
Them making multiple moves at the deadline that seem completely perfect for their needs has everyone on tilt. Give us a few days.

Exactly, these dudes are tripping. If they are healthy their roster is better than their bubble championship team. Legitimate threats at optimum health

Bubble Lakers were a top 3 defensive team.

Yeah I definitely don't agree with that.
But they did get better.
the one thing I will say is that it may take them a few games to get acclimated with this new roster, and by then unless they go on an epic run, they may be in too big of a hole.
I wish the West wasn't as jumbled as it was for that (although it certainly helps us)

Probably can just ignore the whole article then based on that it was written by a moron =)
Kevin O Conner is pretty much on Zach Lowe’s level, at the top.

Bubble Lakers were 52-19, which means they were a 60 win team based on a full 82 game schedule.
I know I'm a broken record here, but saying a 25-31 team adding Bamba/Beasley/Vanderbilt/DLo is worth 24 wins going from a 36 win team to 60(or better than 60 lol) is silly.

they’ve hovered around .500 with a team full of bench players. AD has missed 57% of their games, too.
They have a real team now. Four starter-level players. Lebron has done more with worse players

If you think about it, not only did Ainge improve his chances at the top 2 but he eliminated the Pels from getting Wemby.

Lebron won't finish the season without missing at least a week or two. Day-to-Day will be done for the years by the playoffs.
