Who is Lou Dobbs?

Here's what wiki has:

Born in Childress County, Texas in 1945,[5] Dobbs is the son of Frank Dobbs, a co-owner of a propane business, and Lydia Mae (née Hensley), a bookkeeper. When Dobbs was age twelve, his father's propane business failed and the family moved to Rupert, Idaho.

He is a civil servant. Hard to fire those guys not only because of federal laws but especially hard to fire the civil servants the media worships. Trump did bring in Dr. Steve Atlas for alternative view points if you remember. But the media would rarely have Dr. Atlas on their shows.

Yeah I remember that now, thanks Gumbo.

Okay, tCTH blogged about it. LINK

The point is not that SHS did not mention Trump's name during the rebuttal speech, the point is Lou Dobbs made the point that the speech was written by the RGA with a Ron DeSantis 2024 filter on it. Not mentioning Trump name in a Trump story is evidence of that...also the generational comments.

quote:

CTH noted several weeks ago that based on the background moves in advance of Ron DeSantis’s reelection efforts, it became increasingly clear the Republican Governor’s Association (RGA) was going to play a bigger role in 2024 in full alignment with the GOP establishment.

In some ways the leveraging of the RGA is the difference between the Big Club’s 2016 (Jeb!) effort, and the 2024 (Ron!) effort. It was obvious in 2022 with the amount of money the RGA poured into the FL governor’s coffers, a reelection race with a consistent double point lead, the RGA was not doing it for the 2022 reelection – they were building the DeSantis war chest for 2024.

The DeSantis management and branding group are in alignment with, and in close coordination with, the RGA.

At CTH we accept things as they are, not as we would wish them to be.

The Big Club is fooling many, but not here, not now and not today – or ever.

Once you see the strings on the marionettes, you can never return to that moment in the performance when you did not see them.

Bannon saying SHS doesn't have the intellect is wrong. I appreciate Bannon he is a lot more smarter than most know...

But SHS is intelligent. She was scripted by the Governor's association. Therefore, she was not allowed to get into the depth of the intelligence surrounding the CCP and geo-politics.

Maybe Bannon thinks SHS's doesn't get the geo-politics. I do. She was just scripted. It was a push towards DeSantis.

Dobbs brilliantly expresses how they use Trump. The depth of it is when they use Trump they aren't behind his policies.

They are behind their stranglehold of power, pretending they are America first.

Agree.

Bannon is also super sensitive to foreign policy surrounding the CCP. He talks about it in almost every show.

Without Trump, the GOP is irrelevant. Look at the last 4-5 candidates. Mittens, McCain, Bush 1 and 2.

Can agree with this point totally.

And Trump blazing a winning path by showing disdain for MSM, no doubt gave De Santis the fortitude to oppose covid restrictions and vax mandates.
And arrange the Martha's Vineyard illeagal relocation to expose liberal hypocrisy.

But why write off write off Sanders over a better speech than most Republicans have been able to muster in years?

And she's behaved better toward Trump in print and interviews -in fact head and shoulders above- others who served in the Trump admin like Nikki Haley, Mike Pompeo and in terms of results/performance even Trump's own son-in -law.

Yep. I agree and saw all they took from it watching it LIVE. It is why I keep saying Trump needs to pass the baton before they take the baton.

They won't let him be and they won't let him win. If some same trickery-like slick speeches were used to volley back--Much like SHS's speech accept adding the dangers of the DOJ, FBI our govt, & the CCP; and the baton was passed...

Trump can vindicate himself by saying, they never will and pass the baton to Junior, Ric or Lara. Trump is due full vindication. This is his core issue to not giving up along with trying to truly save America.

SHS told the damned truth and was very appealing regarding the cancer diagnosis' with her and her mother.

But it was a diss to Trump. And a cue to line up behind DeSantis with the false premise of MAGA. No, thank-you.

Say his name!!! Say his name!!!!

Will Trump now throw a tantrum on social media calling her disloyal?

BDR should have gave the rebuttal. Now there is a winner and a real leader.

I watched the SHS's speech and I think she did say, 'President Trump.' But I get the overall point.

She dissed Trump by saying the republicans needs a new generation.

The RNC sees that Trump has been a disaster for the party and they're trying to gently move away from him without rousing his ire. Sanders would not exist in politics without him. She has a fine line to tread. She's been told she needs to leave Trump behind to make room for DeSantis, but she can't have the avalanche of Trump's nastiness come down on her. She'd never recover and might face serious threats from his supporters, who at this point are feral, irrational, and armed.

Agree with the point gop rebuttals have been falling flat for a long, long time.

But i think its less about writting off Sanders and more about writting off the wave of GOP copy cats we’re going to get - nome of which will actually be getting to the heart if the matter.

Frankly, i dont see there is ANYONE currently hammering the real core issues. Its all peripheral issues that work to froth up Team Red against Team Blue.

Perfectly encapsulating everything wrong with American Politics.

Good lord, its irrelevant. Trump isn't winning in 2024. the RINOs will sabotage him every step of the way and they have his number. All branches of government (except judicial) are openly hostile towards him. The Penatagon doesn't want him. The three letter orgs don't want him. He couldn't beat zombie biden, he sure as frick couldn't win now. They will cheat but they probably don't have to.

if Desantis is smart he will sit 2024 out. I'll vote for Trump but it's terribly obvious that the pathological hatred of him has somehow only gotten worse even after he's left office.

Either way we're in for 4 more years of progressive rule.
