It would seem they are doing that, but Disney is doing just fine and know they can put this out and it not hurt them. It'll be a show that not everybody likes, but they don't have to have everybody like every show that they put out, this will make some people happy.
Look at all the shows/movies that this board hates (I don't like most of them as well), almost all of them still make bank at the box office and have good viewership numbers.
Most of the people that complain still end up watching whatever Star Wars or Marvel movie/show they put out and still pay that Disney+ membership.

Their stock is down 50% from 2021 all time high, they fired the CEO and they apparently have a major share holder that is apparently trying to get a seat on the board to further shake up management. Also rumors floating around that they want to sell off some IPs like Star Wars
Also Don’t confuse raw box office numbers with movies making “bank” outside of Avatar they had a lot of movies lately that have been disappointing at best.
Being “woke” gets over blown sometimes (not in the Proud family clip) but most of the stuff they are putting out is crap.

They just forced their CEO to resign 2-3 months ago.
Their stock has gone from the mid $150's a year ago to around $110 today(it's basically the flat from five years ago).
