Was George Floyd’s race the precipitating factor or merely incidental? Looking for your honest opinion.

I assume you are asking whether his race was the motivating factor in how he was handled by the police or whether it was incidental to their behavior.

In my opinion, incidental to his criminal behavior in the store and his subsequent behavior toward the officers. If a White or Latino suspect had behaved in exactly the same way, I have seen nothing to indicated that the officers would have behaved differently.

On the other hand, I have little doubt that FLOYD's racial perceptions may have colored the way that HE chose to behave.
