What do the reviews say? People are usually brutally honest on them.

The one Uptown? It’s perfectly fine. Renovated fairly recently. Slightly above average for a Hampton Inn. Location is good for anything Uptown and Tulane/Loyola.

disregard my response. I thought you were asking about the one on Carondelet.

Stayed there last year and it was fine. Only complaint was not many restaurants within a block or two, but there is a decent wine bar and a po boy place a block or so away. Very minor complaint, especially with street car right outside. Room was good sized and clean.

Its within walking distance of The Columns and The Mayfair Lounge. So it's got that going for it.

Is a block or two your maximum walking distance? I used to live a few blocks from the Hampton Inn and it was walkable to at least a dozen bars/restaurants.

I can't speak to the hotel itself, but it's in a very good location.

It’s not, but when I go to NOLA I generally like to stay somewhere in close proximity to good restaurants. It was a very minor complaint, more to highlight that it is a good place to stay because I had no other complaints. I would definitely stay there again.
