Is Brees going to break Marino's single season record?

Whoopdie doo. Brees wont give a damn unless that record comes with a ring, and we have gotten absolutely no indications that the Saints will get one anytime soon.

I hope he doesn't break the record. I would be rooting for him if he was throwing the ball around and carrying us to wins more often.

But his stats are BS. He's gone over 400 yards twice and lost both games.

Don't get me wrong, I like Drew. I just don't want to sacrifice winning for a record that means nothing.

It would be cool but I would much rather a division title and a playoff birth.

Well it's not like Brees is lobbying to pass all the time to get stats. The o-line is crap, and consequently we don't run very well (we're descent). Add that to the fact CSP doesn't like to run, and Brees gets all the throws. Just thank God that we have a QB like Brees who can handle throwing that many times w/ such a crap o-line. with Brooks instead of Brees we'd be a 1-2 win team right now.

And he threw 3 critical INT's yesterday, two of which probably resulted in the loss, along with the lack of a running game.

its usually not a good thing when a qb throws for over 400 yards. it means that they're team is sually one dimensional and they are playing from behind.

I'll add myself to the pile of fans who don't much care about passing records if we're losing. As bad as we were last year, at least our playoff hopes hung around until December.

true, but most of the losses can be put on the D or on special teams...

and most of drew's interceptions get tipped and picked off, not based on bad decisions.

because our o-line can't really run block, we'd be worse off running the ball more than we do

I'll take the MVP, that should mean we climb back into the playoff chase within the next few weeks....900+ yds., 6+ tds, and the Saints win the next 3 games and he and the Saints could be looking good.

No Warner will, and his passing yards will be close to Brees, but with more wins.

If the Saints defense holds true to form, then yes he will.

So my guess is yes.

I honestly couldn't care less.

Actually, let me take that back. I hope Brees doesn't even get close, because I hope that Payton finally starts pounding the rock. That's the only way we win 6 or 7 and make the playoffs.
