Seems like a good ole fashioned hoodwinking by Dodson at this point.

I hope I’m wrong though.

that has nothing to do w/ the status quo. That was about the cooperative endeavor agreement the POA signed with Dodson, which is no longer in effect. It's from one especially malcontent who has adopted the issue as a cause celebre and never stops yapping about it or related issues.

Tax Write off? No one spends $1 to save 36 cents.

Money Laundering is only reasonable reason to buy it. Prayers a Mexican Cartel takes it over.

Aren’t they asking for membership payments up front prior to the course opening???

I mean there’s a decent chance it doesn’t open back up IMO and good luck getting that money back

yes, at least from the letter i received. I don't remember the details. I haven't played in 4-5 years and was having back pain so i didn't really consider it. There were a lot of details i don't remember in that offering. not sure of status now, they asked for a response by Dec. 22nd or so

Obviously no one would pay a dollar to save 40 cents but investing and hoping it works out would be an angle. If it does work out then you make money, worst case scenario you get to invest money and write it off. Hell it could break even and then he has the write off and gets to own/play a golf course, you never know what someone’s motive is. Just brainstorming why someone would invest that much change and not have a clear cut business plan with a path to sustainability. Maybe he’s a dumbass, some people have millions and are that, but not usually.

I emailed about memberships and received no response

Word was they only invited 100 people to join. IMO, a losing endeavor from the start. I thought the retreat center with skeet, golf, etc had promise.

Maybe they decided redoing a golf course while headed towards a depression was a bad idea unless bagger valve shows up in st francisville

100 people would have to drop a huge amount in upfront payments and monthly dues to keep that place going. The economics of that can't possibly work.

They only invited 100 local people to join. Not all prior members. Other offerings from farther away. Don't ask me why.

But the buyer just made another payment. So it doesn't sound like he's abandoned the project.

Very bizarre situation. I’m praying hard that it works out but the chances seem to be increasing got slim.

How is the country club in new roads? I’m moving to w Feliciana soon and want to make sure I have fleshed out all of my options. Realistically it looks like beaver creek is by far the best course within thirty minutes.

Copper Mill is closing next month for a four month greens renovation project. Taking the top five inches off of every green and most greens will be much bigger. Returning to their original size. Also will has a new cart fleet with GPS when they reopen. It will be an option come July.
