I’m just curious as to why you’re against it? Personally, I think if someone premeditates a murder, which is generally what would prompt the death penalty, then they should expect to be on the hook for “equal”treatment as far as losing their life. Even so, the death penalty is most likely much more humane than how they dispatched their victim(s) plus they get to live a lot longer than their victim(s) did as the legal process plays out.

I'm not pro death penalty, but I'm not hardcore opposed either.

I think it should be exclusively reserved for politicians.
