Looking to cash out CC points

Got about $4500 worth of points and looking to go somewhere with the wife but not sure if I want to go international or stay in the states.
Any recommendations? Looking to leave anytime between now and the fall.
The last time we’ve traveled was taking all the kids with us to the USVI in 19 so trying to get away for 4-5days.

Would be helpful to narrow the search criteria a bit more than "$4500 anywhere on earth."

Thanks, any spot in particular or is it one of those places that you can’t go wrong anywhere you go?

Fair enough.
My wife likes the beach, I was thinking maybe Mexico or the islands again but didn’t want to go back to St. Thomas.

St. John. St. Thomas only exists to get on the ferry and go to St. John.

I started to say to myself “That’s not totally true.” And then I realized that’s exactly what I do every time my cruise ship stops there…

You really can't go wrong, was there in July and stayed at the property attached to the restaurant Blu on the Water and it was incredible. It was a little further out from Georgetown and maybe a little less convenient but we actually preferred it that way. LINK
The TripAdvisor forum also has a lot of good info, LINK
You can also search this board for more threads on it. Would highly recommend, looking forward to going back.

What credit card points currency? You can likely get better value through transfer partners.

This. I can't remember the last time we paid for a Hyatt stay thanks to Chase Ultimate Rewards.

While I don't do it for a living, I love putting together points trips. OP, if you're interested let me know and we can get in touch.

Close in bookings to Japan on ANA airlines in business class wide open the next few weeks. We’re leaving the week before Mardi Gras break.

I'm not so bad, myself.
OP, please tell us what program you have your points in, so we can help.

He posted it above, Chase Ultimate Rewards earned through the CSR.
WIth those points, 200-250k UR points could get you RT business class for 2 to Europe/Caribbean with the right partner, I'd be looking at Aeroplan and AF/KL Flying blue. Can probably do it with Avios as well though their interface isn't as user friendly IMO.
