How could we be so loaded at every position but have no one to back up RP. He needs to play JJ to see what he has with him so we don't find out next year like Lee and Hatch.

So, you're saying that either Lee or Hatch should've gotten more significant playing time last year in case our 2nd string QB was kicked off the team...

Flynn Russell, and RP was a logjam at the QB position. It's really no surprise that it was tough to recruit one and it wasn't a high priority there for a few years.

and Lee was an elite 11 guy so i really don't get the criticism.

Yeah, Miles threw 4 ints including pick6, and one in overtime, missed a fG, oh and also dropped 4 passes including one that would have went for a TD. Give me a break!

Moron.
Yes, blame Miles that RP is an idiot and left us in a bad spot. Blame Miles that Lee was thrust into a position that he wasn't ready for.
I suppose you can blame Miles for the recession and global warming too.

I think Miles KNEW we were in trouble if RP was kicked off and that is why he got so many chances. You had to hope that Lee's talent would come through. I did not.

do you watch much football??

so exactly how did we manage to win title last year? oh yeah b/c no one in college football has more then 1 ready qb.....

ask USC, ask oregon, ask WVU, etc etc etc

we proved we were the most complete team last year b/c when Flynn went down we had a quality back up and didnt fizzle like the rest of the so called good teams.....

JPW, Tebow,Stafford, Sanchez, Harrel, Mccoy, etc etc etc.... any go down 6 months b4 season and they are all in same boat..........

get over it, we cant be kings of the world every year and we got more problems then just QB....

and these coaches know what they are doing, if JJ had any clue of the offense then he would be in there......

after seeing nine games do you really believe we are 'so loaded at every position?' as my old man used to say, "the proof is in the pudding.." and as far as I'm concerned, the pudding still hasn't jelled. we have a solid team with no real superstars and a kid mightly struggling at the most important position in the game. in baseball it's called 'no pitching.' we also give up too many points...msu, auburn, and the ole ballcoach were all early indicators that we lacked superior talent at lb and in the secondary. Miles and staff have done, IMHO, a good job with what they have. we've lost to the #1 team, probably the best team and one of the top 2 qb's in the league draft. We are exactly where I thought we would be at this time. I'm not happy about it...and I doubt seriously Miles and staff are very content either.

Well, we had Hatch and Lee to back-up RP, who was going to be the full-time starter and probably a damn good one at that. We've got a recruit that might be more hyped than Perrilloux coming in in Shepard so that's a good sign for the future.

Why are immature geeks obsessed with finding fault with one of the best performing football programs this decade?

Some Gump called into WWL post game show and said it was Miles' fault for spending so much time recruiting a thug and let the QB position go down the drain. Deek shut him up instantly and told him he didn't know what the hell he was talking about. Kinda funny

Lee obviously is playing poorly but I don't understand why the coaches have him throwing for a first down on 3rd and 17. That is just asking for trouble.

The pick six was awful.

The McClain interception was a tough one on the blitz hit.

The pick in the endzone was a great jump by Johnson but once again I don't think I would have had him throwing that deep when he's struggling and the team has to come away with 3 points. After the first down carry I think it would have been smart to continue pounding Scott until Bama stopped him instead of getting cute with the Wild Tiger formation.

Lee is playing very poorly but I think if the offense was a bit more conservative it could really help protect him. The LSU O-line is so strong they could pound the ball all day long on almost anyone. The drops by the receivers really have to hurt his confidence even more. Lee obviously has been awful but I really think the coaches could protect him more by playing to the big strengths on offense.

Considering our starting QB got kicked off the team in the offseason, what would your backup plan have been?

Really, this post makes no sense.

I agree. The coach is the ultimate to blame, as he oversees everything. Last year we lucked out and everything set up perfectly for us. Once in a lifetime thing. When you win championships, those things happen. Look at Florida in 06, Spurrier should have won, but Florida blocked not one, but two fgs. If they got one of those, they would have won and Florida would not have been in the bcs game.

Coach is to blame for not playing JJ and leaving Lee in there too long.
