People in drunken stupors do this quite often in short spurts.
See the annual Irish Channel Parade in New Orleans for reference, where hundreds of marchers in drunken stupors navigate an entire parade route.
Any honest person who has spent any time in the French Quarter or any other party district knows full well that absolutely plastered drunks can seem to function just fine. You also know that they will not remember a damn thing the next morning, or it will at least be fragmented memories.

Or go to any Mardi Gras parade. Guaranteed to see some .2's and .3's chasing .10 cent beads down canal.

This. Like I said earlier, they either have never had a drink in their lives or are just full of shite and trolling.

all of a sudden they can locate a possible witness and now possibly pursuing charges against Kaivon for raping a 12 YEAR OLD. Jesus.

Are you arguing on behalf of the defense?
If she was functioning enough, where she could march a 5-mile parade route and seem like she was aware, how could a 17-year-old know that she was too drunk to give consent?
Having said that, I doubt very seriously there are any St. Patrick’s Day parade marchers who march the parade in a drunken stupor. Drunk yes. In a drunken stupor, no.

The victim in one of those alleged sexual assaults is coming forward with her story. UWK has chosen not to identify the woman. She was 12-years-old when she says she was victimized by Washington in 2020.
This was one risk of the strategy chosen by the defense attorneys.
When you try your case in the public media, you are going to get all sorts of blowback. Now the media plan has to include denying that your client raped a 12 year old.
Remember, NONE of this is likely to ever come up at trial. But the more publicized the case gets, the more likely some potential juror hears this kind of thing. Also, remember that this kind of thing coming out makes it far harder to get a plea deal from the DA.
These are not my clients, and this is not my call. If it had been, I don't think I would have been holding press conferences. The risk/benefit just does not make sense to me.

The kids in the car said she was falling down drunk and couldn't understand her.
Youre looking at a few seconds of video and trying to make a useless point.

Get your dad to buy you some beer and get some real world experience.

I thought some of the facts and corrections he was covering (and of course, the omissions) seemed a bit strange. I would not have voluntarily called that presser either.

Have you ever been to one? I go every year and have multiple friends that walk. They are trashed by the end. They have cars for the people who get too drunk to walk. I'd say there* are people who get in a "drunken stupor" state that walk in the parade. Same with Mardi Gras. There are tons of videos of people in "drunken stupor" chasing floats for a stuffed animal. It's not uncommon.

If anyone wants to challenge this theory, parade season is coming up.

No one on here knows anything. You haven’t seen anything from inside bar or in the vehicle. The 10 second clip to me doesn’t show a .3 BCA is my opinion. They didn’t carry her out, drag her out or chase after her. She chased after them across a street and curb. I have been drunk enough to almost die and no way I navigate that without stumbling or falling. Who knows what it shows inside or in the vehicle. I have no idea and will reserve judgement until more evidence comes out. No one knows the whole story yet.

I'll be at the Extravaganza ina few weeks. I'll make sure to get plenty of video evidence for those that think someone heavily intoxicated can't walk.
Posted on 1/27/23 at 3:45 pm to JAMAC2001
Not to mention any LSU/Saints tailgate. Drink 2 beers an hour and have a few shots? Guess what, you're over .3% BAC unless you're obese.

So, you tell me, how is a drunk 17-year-old kid supposed to know that she is legally too drunk to have sex with when she exhibits the ability to run and navigate neutral ground curbs like a sober gymnast?
Imagine this was your kid and you just saw the video? Because THAT is the way black jurors are going to view that video.
I'll say it again, I’m not arguing the strict legal definition of consent.
