Thanks. And thank you for spurring some good discussion of the subject matter. I’m a serious history nerd and this kind of discussion is the main reason I started doing the Vader’s Model Desk Threads.

One thing I’ve always found ironic is that in WWI the Germans made the best heavy bomber, thr Gotha Series, while the British were the leaders in tank development. But I’m WWII it was the other way around.

I never thought of that but you are absolutely correct!

So, I take it that you'll be building a Gotha bomber soon? Paint it up nice, please!!

I’ve never even thought about building a Gotha. But now that you mention it, that would be awesome. But, considering some of the camo patterns they used, that would be quite the undertaking.

It fared well until it met serious fighter opposition during the Battle of Britain, when its defensive armament was found to be inadequate.

A Boltoun-Paul would have shot that piece of shite down. Useless waste of metal and resources.

Some of the camo schemes for the Gotha used a lot of eye-catching color. It would be a beautiful build!

I wonder is they make a Gotha model that uses real linen fabric for the wing surfaces, just like the real ones?
