? not a fan of people making their own decisions?

Trump had no choice but to listen to the self-proclaimed "expert" at the time - Fauci. With what was going on with a once in a lifetime virus I believe any of us on here would have relied on someone who has expertise with viruses and trust their judgement more than our own. But now in hindsight, it was a bad decision to rely on Fauci's expertise. Somebody got filthy rich off of human guinea pigs imo.

Trump did not say "you can not do longer studies if necessary to be safe" or "you need to hide dangerous results"

Then why, just this week, was Trump touting the greatness of the vaccine and that HE saved hundreds of millions of lives with it?
Posted on 1/20/23 at 9:48 pm to Smeg
You just can't fault him, can you. Pass it off onto others despite his being the most powerful man on Earth. He still brags about it. Still says he saved 100s of millions.

Well he might have. At the time there was no caveat that went with the shot that said "this shot will save you from covid but it could screw with your heart and blood system in the process". No one knew until after the fact about the side effects. That's exactly why the wife and I never got the shots. Appears now our reasoning was a good decision.

Trump wanted to reduce red tape and unnecessary delays. He doesn't know what's involved with testing a vaccine. He didn't sign off on it. The agencies that knew 1000x's more about this than Trump are the ones who knew better but still did the wrong thing.
The worst thing that Trump did was trust people who knew better but lied.

When you say “still hyping it” can you be more specific as to exactly what you’re referring to? Serious question, not some rhetorical gotcha attempt.

Trump from earlier this week...
quote:
"You have to understand, there are the pros and cons," said Trump. "Some reports [say] that it's the greatest thing that's ever happened and we saved tens of millions of lives. Then you'll read other reports [that] say there were some problems with the vaccine...but relatively small numbers.
"But you know, you have many reports that say the vaccines save tens of millions of lives," he continued. "That without the vaccines you would have had a thing...where perhaps 100 million people died.

They probably would have tested it for a longer period
Speculation (and horseshite). That vaccine was going to be rushed because there was tens of billions to be made. Besides, PLENTY of people on this site were ALL IN.
I guess Trump shouldn’t have trusted the “experts.”

To be clear, when I was questioning why these were being pushed with knowing what the long term complications could be, you were more than okay with the vaccines being filed out.
Are you blaming Trump to deflect from a guilty conscience?

bullshite...Trump had no choice but to say push it through...if he would have said we need to have the "vaccine" go through its trials before releasing people like you and the entire left would have been screaming "see he wants us to die, he doesn't care! Testing could takes years and we don't have that much time!"
Then the CDC, FDA, pfizer and the rest comes out and says "the vaccine is ready" to push that narrative that Trump wants everyone to die...it was no win situation...
It was all planned anyway...

You keep saying Trump pushed it without enough testing. Well, here we are two years later, people dropping like flies yet there still tv ads and radio ads about getting vaxxed. Have they still not had enough time in theses last two years to sufficiently test it world wide???????

If they'd spent 3 years testing it (like they planned) we still would have gotten the same shots. But the country would have been under lockdown and the economy totally fu*ked (like they planned)
The mRNA crap has been around a while but it'd never been through human trials. Why? Because it wasn't safe, never made it that far in testing..?
It was going to be the same jab no matter how long they drug it out. It could only be approved through an EUA.
They wanted 75 years before releasing the testing that they did do. Think that's because there weren't any red flags coming up?
Wood chipper everyone?
Okay, I'm in. If it would mean bagging all of the scumbags in pharma, CDC, FDA, hospital admins and governors and every other petty tyrant that MADE the shite and wanted to FORCE everyone to take it.. then yes, I would throw Trump on the pile too.
But blaming the whole thing on Trump is idiotic.

Trump mandated that people take the vaccine?
This
It is painfully obvious which side was trying everything thry could get away with to force the vaccine on everyone
I hope everyone that supported (and still supports) mandating the vaccine dies off over the next few years

Trump was full throated hyping it and pushing for people to get it. Biden mandated it for some. Governors of various states as well.
You cannot sit there and say you're an honest person and say Trump was the one who was full throated about taking the vaccines. Biden literally said at one point that the best way to protect yourself against hurricanes is to get vaccinated. Do better

You're just not being honest here. For 2 years after this the left was saying how Trump didn't do enough and Trump is responsible for all the Covid deaths

Cool story bro, now do EVERY single liberal from mid 2020 till just a month or two ago. It's the pushback from republicans against vaccine mandates and questioning the vaccines itself that turns out....saved the most lives, despite whatever Trump said. Trump may have been himself pro vaccine, but he was never a forced vaccine guy, unlike 90% of the left at one point
