Just a reminder - baseball season is only 29 days away.

We will wreck some people this year. Starting with poor Western Michigan, who won all of 18 games last season and will struggle not to give up 50 runs in three games against us.

Y’all remember when people wanted Jay Johnson fired halfway through the SEC season last year? Man how times have changed.

Anyone know what to do with a 29 day erection?

As good as LSU should be this season, a study of the Top 10, the Top 15, it's hard not to say the League has never been this tough. Hard to imagine the brackets in Omaha being tougher than the brackets in Hoover. But the good thing about this is hearing Coach Johnson, when asked about the League, saying "this is why I came to LSU, to play and BEAT the best."

The thing is, we were competitive in the SEC last year. We were really limited in some spots talent-wise, but hell, we won, what? 17 games?
That wasn't bad.
And then you go and look at what he went out and brought in, and the newcomers might actually be better as a group than the returning players - who are better than the returning players on well better than half the teams in the league.
We're scary-good. This is probably a more talented team than any of Skip's teams, which seems almost blasphemous to say.
Yeah, the league is full of great teams. No reason to be scared of any of them.

With basketball season heading over the cliff, our baseball can't get here soon enough.

When asked what has stood out about this LSU team, Tommy White, the nation's top home run hitter transferring from N.C. State : " I've never faced pitching this good ". Coach Johnson said that while fans are focusing on White's HR's, he also hit .360.
