After watching the show I have an itch to replay TLOU. My question is do I play the remake that I have already or was the recent Part 1 release actually worth the $$$?

It’s the same game updated for the ps5. I already bought the first one and the remaster (though for less than $15 each). I’m not spending $70 on the new one.

For sure, it's a lot different than the actual first game as it uses tlou2 engine and movements, ai, etc.

Idk what it goes for now though but I wouldn't spend over $40 on the remake. That's about the sweet spot imo.

I bought the original and the remastered version for the PS4. I just can’t buy the same game a third time.

Isn't it free in the PS essential collection?

It's a value proposition. I'd say it's worth buying the remake if you haven't played through the original, or if you have played the original perhaps it has been several years.

I would try to find it for $40 - $50. I'd only sniff it for $70 if I absolutely had never played the game before.
