I love this move and makes much more sense for TCU.
I think this will work for everyone.
Should he eventually win the job, he will amass impressive stats and carve a path to the draft but will never be on a team good enough to win anything of significance. Maybe he will lead a team to beat LSU at some point but Ole Miss hasn't ever won the west outright for a reason.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, this just reeks of your classic crazy Louisiana sports daddy and son combo. The fact that he’s going to a school with no chance of winning anything significant under a coach who has a gimmick offense that basically exclusively features the QB says it all. Sounds like Jamie wants it to be the Walker Howard Show for the next 3 years and he’s going to take his ball and go home if it isn’t. Kid will probably be in the portal again by the end of spring ball

I know this is heresy, especially on a board largely dedicated to the sport, but I'm starting to think college football is dead.
Brennan to A&M, Finley to Auburn, Ricks to Alabama, Howard to Ole Miss. Hell, we even got two DBs from Arkansas.
School spirit is dead. You'd think they would at least transfer out of the conference, but these guys aren't even transferring out of the division. All of the players are mercenaries now, available to the highest bidder/most guaranteed playing time. Commitments mean nothing, recruiting classes mean nothing. The NFL looks positively virtuous by comparison.

This is ridiculous. Look, is it possible that Howard is the second coming of Burrow or something? Sure, nothing is impossible. But from LSU's perspective, he was at best looking to possibly start not next year, not the year after, but maybe (maybe) the year after that. Do you know how much can happen in that span of time? Did you want BK to make a gamble on that?
