Bought a 1971 Ford Torino GT over the weekend

I'm usually more of a GM guy but I really liked this car and it was a pretty good deal.
It's my second "classic" vehicle, I used to have a restored 80's Chevy squarebody 4x4 truck.
It has the smaller 302 engine in it which isn't very fast but I just wanted something to cruise backroads on weekends in so it's perfect for that.
Super pumped.

Got the Torino and a newer Camry in my garage now and the older Camry and my Silverado in the driveway.

We got 4:11 Positrac outback, 750 double pumper, Edelbrock intake, bored over 30, 11 to 1 pop-up pistons, turbo-jet 390 horsepower. We're talkin' some fvckin' muscle.

I always smile when I hear about Ford Torinos. I remember when I was very young my parents going on a test drive in a Ford Gran Torino and the car breaking down on the Westbank Expressway. I was in the backseat wondering why in the hell is a brand new car breaking down. I had not yet been introduced to the concept of F – O – R - D engineering.

They're great cars, my wife has a newer Camry as well.
I bought the 97 in 2020 for $2500 with 116k on it to use as a commuter car as I had an 80 mile round trip to work and I didn't want to put a lot of miles on my truck.
Now I've transitioned into more of a remote work role but still have to travel quite a bit so I still use it for that, owning it is so cheap that I can make money off of my mileage check.

That thing will probably still be running after we’re all dead

Looks like mine. Mine was olive green color.
I think I paid $800, 1980.
