I asked a couple weeks back if I should jump at Telsa at $103 and almost everyone said wait till earnings and I’ll be able to get it at $40-50 this spring

It’s at $130 now and climbing. Do y’all still think it’s doomed? 30% return in 3 weeks ain’t bad

I don't think it is doomed. Musk's only flaw as a CEO is overpromising the timeline. I think his investors must agree that he delivers, but perhaps not on his initially ambitious timeline.

The first couple of scale ups have been impressive. I'm intrigued to see how it will continue with everyone now trying to get those minerals to make batteries.

Yes, you should’ve jumped in and you should still jump in. Tesla is a long term hold. You will hardly get any objective assessment scouring for opinions on the internet because Elon is polarizing. Early reports in November and December showed Tesla continued to outpace not only the EV market but the car market period, worldwide.

Furthermore, what they just did recently slashing tesla prices and undercutting their “competitors”, was a phenomenal decision. Their “competitors” cannot afford to cut prices and sustain production without government intervention. This is Tesla’s way of dropping their dick on the table and saying “we own this market” All while maintaining cash flow positive in the billions.

This isn’t even considering their software, which is bar none miles ahead of any “competitor” in their market, which they continue to improve on. You’ll see opinion that say Tesla should be valued the same as other car companies, but those opinions are rather asinine given the differences.

Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.

Buy Tesla for your kids if you want to give them our generations AMZN or GOOGL.

So why was everyone saying to wait and get it at $50 soon?

Telsa ain’t gonna be anywhere near that

A stock price doesn’t matter if you like the company and intend to hold it for a long time. It’s still down from 400 2 years ago. Buy it if you think it has a high upside.

Earnings are not til Jan 25.

Listening to “everyone” is almost the worst investment advice you could ever receive. Good thing there isn’t an “everyone” etf or index fund.

I’ll bet you 10 shares of TSLA that it hits 99$ again in the next 6 months

TSLA the company owns about 10,500 BtC. It chugged since close Friday, along with the overall market.

That I understand, which is why I said it would hit sub 100 again soon and plenty of time to buy. I’d suggest stagger buying every 10-15%

The earnings call is after hours on January 25th, if I’m not mistaken.

As for people’s opinions on the stock price, I guess they were considering the various headwinds that seem to be facing the company and Musk personally.

For a short term trade, you certainly had the right idea. Going into earnings, and afterwards, it’s anybody’s guess.

I think it’s bound to find some selling pressure after such big drop as traders jump out on the upswing.

If a longterm, play, this level probably good time to buy though.

Yep that’s your only hope. If you don’t buy then you’ll never make a penny on this stock that is down from 400$. It will never go higher than it is right now. You’ve had weeks to buy it on the way up. Just buy the damn stock; you said you were going to hold it.

Damn I’m going to buy 5k worth just to show you in a year how much money you missed out on… all while you were hoping to save a few hundred bucks for “rock bottom” and then never bought in because it kept going up.

That would make me a little nervous...the part about government intervention. Tesla's competitors have deep pockets and lots of lobbyist on the Hill.
