Nuss is draft eligible after next year.

Next year will be his third year and will be draft eligible. Something people aren’t considering is his ability to declare after next year. It’s not unthinkable to think that he could go in the draft and be considered as a better pro prospect than JD. I think it’s unlikely that he goes but it’s possible that LSU can lose both. If Nuss gets considerable playing time in a dual QB type system, the opportunity for him to go, if he gets a good draft grade, is a real possibility.

Probably because him entering after not being the starter and in only his RS Sophomore season is absurd and sky is falling talk

This is quite possibly the stupidest of the threads

If Nuss is signaling he's staying for the long haul, and by all accounts the past 24 hours that is the most likely angle, then I'm not worried. Maybe after 2024 but even then, I doubt he'll tear it up to be a top-5 pick and he could be that after 2025 (if he tears it up in 2024)

This makes sense but you responded with this while the OP was talking about Nuss going pro after next season when he won't even be the starter

In order for this to happen Nuss would have to not only beat out Daniels but would have to ball out for the Tigers next year. That means 2023 would have to be special so I am perfectly fine if Nuss leaves after next year for the NFL.

The QB sweepstakes game is here to stay, period!
Get used to it.

Jayden Daniels has broken the rant. He really has.

Which is crazy considering from all accounts the dude is a good guy and he was voted team MVP. It truly is crazy to see the level of disdain people have for him like he did something personally to them

Unless he plays 70+% of the snaps this year and puts up Jamarcus Russell numbers, there is no way he goes pro.

This honestly might be the dumbest thing I’ve ever read on tRant, and there’s been a lot of dumb things.

It sounds like the OP is expecting/rooting for Daniels to blow out an ACL in the first few games of the season.
Which brings up this question: exactly why would you even go there?

It’s dumb to think that he might get more PT than he got last year and would possibly increase his draft grade, in a year he would be draft eligible?
Nothing I said is untrue. JD has been named the starter but what if he gets hurt or comes out, plays bad, and gets replaced?
My whole point is everyone is expecting him to be at LSU for another 3 years, eventually be the starter in 24 and possibly 25. I merely suggesting that the LSU QB room could be extremely young if it happens and it could be a possibility.
