Today’s threat was looking fairly low end yesterday, but is looking more robust this morning. We now have an enhanced risk across parts of Alabama and Georgia and a tornado watch was just issued for much of east Mississippi and the northern half of Alabama. The primary threat is damaging straight line winds with the line of storms, but a few tornadoes are possible, as well.

Yeah, there isn’t much to the the line down that way. Greater threat is definitely further north today.

That track will have it going south of Tuscaloosa.

Good news is that this won’t be a really long duration event today. Once the line passes a given location, the threat is over there.

I'll say again that I hate that area of the state(s), as far as radar goes.

That’s what I thought. Any ideas about temps behind? I’m assuming it’s gonna drop pretty fast.

It'll be a one round shot, with the exception of maybe NE TN where some storms could form after the line.

Probably within the hour. It is moving at a good clip and is already in the state.
