I bought a tiller from home depot several years ago for around 500 dollars and it lasted me 3 years and I never could get it to crank again and got quotes for repair but that was going to be more than what it was worth. I got rid of it and don't even remember the brand.

I own the Honda FG110 and it is very powerful for its size. Make sure you use only non ethanol fuel. If you need something bigger I would just rent it from Home Depot.

Get a Bobcat MT100 and Toro Soil Cultivator attachment. About 40k.

Jk

Just rent one when you need it for $75 a day. It is much more efficient.

I have a little 2-stroke Mantis that has been great. I know it's at least 15 years old. I got it used from my grandmother. I had to put a new carburetor on it and run a new throttle cable, but that's it. Runs like a champ. Starts up right away.

Have you checked the carburetor on your tiller? That's usually the first thing to go. They swap out super easy.
