I'm going to ABQ for the first time for work. Any suggestions for restaurant and hotels?

Was there this summer shortly while also visiting Taos and Santa Fe.
Make sure to take the tram up to Sandia Peak.
The 66 Diner on Central was pretty neat, takes you back to the heyday of Route 66:
Also, you can view lots of that old 30s-50s architecture and signage along old Route 66 in town:
We went to an Albuquerque Isotopes game since it was summer, and that was kind of fun.
Stayed only one night at the Hilton Garden Inn Albuquerque Airport. It was alright-- clean, new, decent price, nothing fancy.

We fly into Albuquerque next month on our way to Taos. Speaks of Taos, do you have any suggestions regarding it?

We went and looked at every house that were used in Breaking Bad and Better call Saul. Pretty cool.

Ranchos Plaza Grill-I will eat every meal there when I return.

Frontier Restaurant, across from UNM. Go for breakfast and get the breakfast burrito smothered in green chile. The tortillas are also excellent. I've been here twice, once was in the wee hours of the morning of a non-stop drive from Houston > Durango, CO. So good.

Frankly, Taos (the town) was very underwhelming. Small, not as "nice' or fancy/artsy as I have heard it was. One main drag through the town. We had a pretty nice upscale dinner at Martyrs Steakhouse, but the service was terribly slow.
Best parts about the Taos visit were:
1. it was around 60 degrees in the morning in the summer,
2. The High Road to Taos scenic drive up from Santa Fe (picturesque and lots of neat old missions to stop and see); and,
3. Driving up and visiting Taos Ski Valley, which was VERY picturesque and about 55 degrees in the summer.
4 Driving a short distance west to see the Rio Grande Gorge.
