Why would you blame Bama fans for thinking this way? The entire CFB landscape was altered in 2011 to fit their inability to win games that mattered. After the Mulligan, they got in again, what, twice? The sports media literally changes the narrative every year after Bama inevitably loses a big game during the regular season. Just look at this season when they lost their second game. Immediately after the LSU loss, the narrative a week later on CBS, etc, was "Bama's path to the playoffs with two losses". LSU, however, "had to beat UGA in the SECCG, then needed help to get in" IF LSU were to win out. LSU didn't, but you get my point.

When the playoffs expand, Bama will be in it every year no matter what. Then the media and fan base can find other reasons to whine if Saban and his team of two-deep five star players don't win again.

I already stated I agree with you. There is nothing for me to argue. You even quoted the post where I agreed with you.

You deserve nothing. You lost. Twice.

You weren’t going to beat Georgia. You had your chance and blew it by losing to LSU and Tennessee.

LSU played UGA closer than TCU. That doesn’t mean LSU deserved to be in the playoffs.

We also have lost a National Championship to Georgia after beating them by 3 scores in the SECCG. I never saw a single Bama fan (or anyone else for that matter) bitch about the rematch

I definitely thought a rematch was stupid and complained about it.

Let’s be honest. LSU, Tennessee and Alabama were better than the other three.

I would hope not, considering the whole Mulligan situation was set up just for your program after you finished THIRD in the conference that year. At least this time, the team that got the mulligan actually played in the SECCG and didn't sit at home that weekend begging. Not to mention you had already "beaten" UGA in a title game a couple years before after finishing THIRD in the conference AGAIN and getting an invite anyway.

Like I said, the ENTIRE system is set up for your program to win. The standards for your program to make the playoffs are vastly different than 95% of other CFB teams. Anyone with a brain that follows the sport understands this 100%. Beating Bama in a regular season game really doesn't mean much any longer.

Tenn had as much of an argument as Bama or Ohio St
They had to play UGA in Athens and lost Hooker

Here’s the amount of people outside of Tuscaloosa that wanted to see Alabama in the playoffs:

Not because anyone was scared of Bama, but because Alabama did not earn their way into the playoffs. You earn your way by winning. Not by going 10-2 in the regular season and finishing second place in your own division when you never even played the conference champion.

frick off with this nonsense. I guess LSU should have been there since we actually put up a fight against UGA. Yall did nothing to be in the discussion.

Not the team that couldn't win its own division, that's for sure. The season matters. DO better if you want to be the champion. Yall don't get to have the world handed to you just because of that stupid A on your uniform.

That's when Alabama does its most damage. Those are facts. I can't wait for a 3 loss Alabama to steam roll its way to a championship in the expanded playoff.

You would have lost it all not once but multiple times in the season.

The most talented team is not the best team.

TCU was the better team over the course of the season with better wins and a singular better loss than both of Bamas losses.

Do y’all win last night on 1/9/23 in the finals with all the pressure on? Maybe. Probably.

Do y’all win vs TCU in week 8 or week 10 or even in the semifinal? I don’t know. Y’all would definitely not blow them out.

BINGO!

That is going to be ANOTHER big garbage move when the playoff comes. You will have teams sitting at home, getting healthy, while teams that earned it are playing extra games for their conference title. Some teams will end up in their conference title game, lose that game, then won't make a playoff while big name programs like Bama will get in by virtue of those teams losing. It will suck, but that's what the media wants.

The funny thing is they advocated for this crap by saying “it needs to be settled on the field”

But now you have people that continue to ignore the results on the field because “we know who the better team was”
