Beau Vines doesn't hold a flame to the better restaurants in Shreveport or Monroe, I'm sorry.

I would agree there are better steakhouses in North Louisiana than Beau Vines, but to act like there's nothing to do in Ruston, for small town living, is a bit disingenuous. There's Dawg House, Utility Brewing, Trio's, Roma, Hot Rod's BBQ, Brister's, just off the top of my head. Not to mention Raw, is there a better sushi restaurant in Louisiana?

And you have Squire Creek 10 minutes out of town and it may be the nicest Country Club in the state

A private country club isn't something for your every day person to go to. I'm not saying there isn't anything to do in Ruston as a whole or it isn't a nice place to live. But there isn't anything that you can do in Ruston that isn't exactly like most towns in Louisiana.

My son goes to Tech and when we tell anyone our age about it they say "I hated Ruston it's a dry town." Which is also not true. Even on Sundays you have to drive a whopping 1 mile from campus to buy beer.
