That loss to Wisky was just awful… we had a ton of talent compared to them and it was one of the worst play calling games I have ever seen.

If it’s the hardest opening game since last year, that would mean last year’s opening game was harder.
That being said, I can see how other factors (new staff vs. established staff, week zero shenanigans, huge roster turnover, etc.) might make that a true statement. I just assumed OP was talking about the strength of the opponent.

I was at that game. After an entire off-season of hearing how the offense was going to change, LSU went 3 and out with the same predictable plays that Les Miles was known for. The energy in the LSU section went to zero and everyone knew that nothing was going to change.

I've been looking forward to the tension, anticipation, hopefully the national build-up and ultimately the outcome of that Oregon game. It was a great start to an awesome season as this will be too.
