Similar to me but technically I’m leading as of now. Was down 2 going into the match with Burrow and Higgins. I’m ahead now on ESPN but if they wipe it out and give me 0s I would lose.
see if they wipe it then its another argument, you're line up is having to take 0s for no reason which is bogus.
Your opponent should concede regardless unless he's a total dick. Your line up beat his

Yea, once you’re up you would have won.

Here's my quandaries as the commissioner and also a championship game participant:
1. Going into Monday night's game I was up 115-82. I had no players Monday night. My opponent had Tee Higgins. ESPN was giving me a 99% chance to win and I'm certain that I would have. I don't really mind claiming the win in this scenario.
2. We have a $25 payout for our 3rd place game which was a much closer score going into Monday night. Team C had a score of 116 with no MNF players while Team D had a score of 108 w/Ja'Marr Chase & Tyler Bass. Well, Bass had already scored 3 making the score 116-111. Our tie-breaker is bench points, so Team D really only needed 5 more points to win 3rd place.I feel like Team D would have won, but you never know. I feel like splitting the 3rd place prize here would be warranted.

I mean are there really any heated debates going on here?
If the game isn't resumed I'd probably just payout the team that had Chase going

I haven't even reached out to the teams involved yet.

Why do you assume scenario A wins but scenario B might not. They are both pretty much decided.

I am down 8 points and had Gabe Davis while he is done. Yahoo just deemed him the winner!! That sucks!!!

Projections aren’t a very fair way to determine a winner. My game is a toss up but I have Knox and he has burrow/chase. I’m up 20. It could go either way.
That’s why you don’t use projections to determine a winner. You use them to decide how to split the prize pool.

I'm down 5 points with jamarr chase and Tyler bass left. Sh!t f()cking sucks

Also opponent has no players left

I think I would suggest agreeing to replacing MNF's week 17 stats with the individual players stats in week 18.
I don't agree with going with averages or just calling it there. Just my opinion on what I would do if the game isn't being made up. Which looks like they aren't.
This is what I am saying. I don't agree with projections or averages. It should be decided on the field.
Ask if y'all can agree to counting the eligible players week 18 stats.

You should work this out with your commish and league.

I have no idea why people are making this way harder than it needs to be.
Count week 18 stats for any player in question and just put those in place of week 17.
Any player should get a chance for a full games worth of action.

That's what I am saying. Especially given the game is flat out cancelled now.
If some of those players don't play or sit, so be it, you were already screwed with no game counting. I guess that's the part where some rather the idea of a split pot, but I'd rather the week 18 stats side.

Some people are also suggesting that since both teams will be in the playoffs then consider counting their first playoff game stats. I still think people should work it out and come to an agreement on what to do.
The NFL should have resolved this quicker. Oh well.

You gotta give all non injured players a full game of action.
Anyone that accepts victory because of any player not playing that MNF game is a huge bitch.

So if a player gets kicked out because of fighting midway through the 1st quarter, then a game shouldn't count? Maybe take a few deep breaths.
The 3rd place game in my league was a 90 point game with just Josh Allen left to play. It's quite possible things should be taken on a situational basis instead of blanket calling everyone a huge bitch. Mine was a little closer but I still had a 97% chance of winning up 48 and him having Higgins and Buffalo's kicker. Incredibly unlikely he would have come close. Even if we do count Week 18 stats, the most Higgins has scored all year is 23 with Bass at 24(which is nearly double his next closest). fwiw I'm not opposed to it because I would have much rather them completed this game.
From the Reddit payout calculator, it says I should give him a whole extra 7 dollars.

I don't consider this the same. This MNF game was literally cancelled. Therefore it is as if the game never happened.
Getting kicked out of a game is on your players and that is a valid risk you take. I regret owning Antonio Brown his final season, but I also understood what I was dealing with.
Nobody should be expected to take the risk of any NFL game ever being cancelled. Those eligible players should be allowed to make it up if their game never happened or else something else needs to be worked out.
Injuries/kicked out = risks we take
Cancelled games = needs a valid game made up or split/refund
JMO.

I agree with you. But his statement was "all non-injured players"
But would you also do the same if a game gets cancelled because weather turned so bad that the field became too dangerous to play on?
Fwiw I'm not saying that I would or wouldn't. Frankly....this is a pretty solid mental exercise that I'm enjoying. Personally, I prefer to treat each week like as an equal. Part of managing your fantasy roster is taking matchups into consideration.
Hypothetical: You started a guy last week because he was playing a dogshit defense and those points would have won you the game.....now we're taking that players week 18 points against the toughest defense in the league who has playoff implications on the line when you had a better matchup you would have obviously played.
What it really boils down to is you really need to take it on a case-by-case scenario. The only problem I have is the blanket "if you accept victory, you're a bitch" statement above. How in the actual hell is someone who was up by 90 with the opponent only having one player left a bitch by accepting victory?

Like you said it’s case by case, if you you were behind and it was a long shot to win, then you should probably concede or offer week 18 stats to count. No way should you try and declare no contest or be entitled to a split unless offered one.
If you were within an obvious range of victory I think you either see if the person wants to admit defeat or count week 18 stats. I’m not offering a split pot or co title to someone that was obviously beat.
Shitty situation and there’s no solution that’ll make everyone happy
