He does. I mean he’s playing well but if he would just stop the lazy passes

Right, he is such a good player, it’s just hard to understand his not taking care of the ball enough.

Do you remember Jrue? Game on the line, he would literally hand the ball to the defender

Can anyone explain why we never say this for Zion or BI?

CJ turns it over less than both of them. And Jose too, they all have higher turnover % than CJ.

What are you talking about?

Whenever I bring up Zion needing to tighten his handle there’s usually some level of pushback which I find surprising. I think he gets graded on a curve because he’s a big.

Dude there’s a huge difference in Zion going into a crowd and making a bad pass vs CJ just fricking throwing lazy entry passes or handoffs.

Because CJ’s are completely preventable. They’re just lazy arse passes

I love CJ but he’s made some dumb arse turnovers in the last few games. I’m sure he’ll be the first one to admit he has to clean that up.

This is the exact silliness people are talking about when it comes to the nonsensical CJ hate.

Been saying it for a long time now. Have to accept he will have a couple really really bad turnovers a game.

It's just a good thing he turns it over less than all of our other main ball handlers, so we have that going for us.

I love CJ too but it’s not just the last few games. It’s all season. It’s who he is. He’s great but also very prone to careless turnovers.

Zion and BI are 22 and 25

One guy is a 300 pound PF with choppy playing experience due to injuries and the other guy is 6ft 9

CJ is a 6ft 2 guard and 10 year vet

It’s not that difficult to figure out why his turnovers draw a bit more ire.

The lengths some of you are going to defend something that is wrong and flat out nonsense is quite funny to witness.

How can you not see the difference between Zion going into a crowd and throwing a bad pass vs CJ just throwing a simple pass at half speed?

No one is bitching about the turnover where CJ got stuck in the air. It happens.

I’m taking about basic fundamental shite. Like don’t throw a half speed pass. They are completely preventable x

Just because he turns it over less than other guys means we should be ok with 1-2 completely preventable turnovers that are simply lazy?

A live ball turnover is a live ball turnover and you want your players to make less of those than more of those.

Hopefully that helps

Starting to wonder if CJ is a very good shooting guard trying to a point guard. Hopefully he tightens it up.
