Kelly's response to having only one DL starter Wingo playing in the bowl game

Mikhi Wingo, LSU's only returning Dlineman, played more snaps than any other FBS player because LSU had no depth, and now LSU's worse off depth-wise in their bowl game. Wingo knew this and could have easily sat out a year or transferred, but instead, he chose to return to LSU. It's loyal players like him that are true LSU true heroes, and he deserves a huge NIL deal. Hopefully, somebody ups whatever he was paid.

And still not much depth going into next season as well. We finally build some nice depth at Oline for the future and now Dline is razor thin

You couldn't be more wrong. Our defensive line depth will be a strength. Wingo, Maason, and Guillory are back just to scratch the surface. Bring in Jefferson and Lee. Shand and Swinson can probably play interior or edge depending on how they treat them in offseason conditioning. That's not even mentioning other guys already on the roster that you'll see flash in the bowl game and incoming recruits.
