Obviously I don't want him taking contested 3's yet or running off a screen for a quick catch and shoot, but the three's he has made when he is wide arse open this season haven't looked fish out of water. Form looks solid, ball has a nice arc, and he's not catching much rim at all.

It really hasn’t been bad at all. And it’s really important because Zion can’t blow by guys so easily if they treat him like Ben Simmons. Without even looking I would guess Z is like 35% or something from 3 right now, and that’s more than good enough

Zion been doing it since his first nba game. Dude couldn’t miss and was gonna win the game until they stepped in to manage his load.

Intentionally stepped back behind the line, wanted the pass and when he got it didn’t hesitate. You love to see it.
He’s nothing like Simmons, playing off him doesn’t really work anyway, but if he’ll shoot take those regularly, it just make things that much easier for him.

Zion isn’t scared to shoot like Simmons, he just shoots 68% at the rim and can get there at will, he’d have to shoot over 45% from 3 to be that efficient.

My favorite was the follow up floater. If he just adds that little 5ft floater to his game it brings him to a completely new level.

I wasn’t really comparing him to Ben at all just saying what teams will do to a guy if he can’t shoot that open 3 at all

If they can drop off instead of running with him though it makes it much easier to take a charge and really clog the paint. That 3 will keep them honest which is what it needs to do
