before declaring to the draft. It's a what have you done lately league. He lost a bundle up to this point and it seems that he would have a "want" to play in the citrus bowl. It shows a character flaw.
One thing that trumps this is that JD has declared to play his final year in BR. Obviously Boutte likes the Nuss style vertically but JD is in the way. The real reason will evolve over the coming days.

i'm saying everybody is assuming he prefers Nuss, but it's all just guess work.
Nobody here actually knows what he prefers.
Also, typically (not always) when the word "unavailable" is used, it's usually an NCAA and academics issue.
If he was choosing not to play, that would have been said.
If it was a coach's decision (i.e. team rules type thing), that would also have been said.
If he was dinged up and just being held out for precaution, that would have been said.

Boutte never came close to the type of Season Chase had in College. Chase won the biletnikoff award and set a LSU and SEC record for Receiving yards and Touchdowns in a single season. He could afford to sit out a year and get highly drafted.
Boutte cannot afford to sit out and get drafted like Chase. Even if Boutte were to come out now he would be a day 2 pick. If he for whatever reason came back to school but did not play for the entire year and came out for the draft next season he still would be a day 2/3 pick.
Chase and Boutte's situations are not even remotely close to the same thing.
