I've read absurd posts, but wow that poster has no concept of offensive football. Scrambling after not finding a receiver or being willing to throw the ball, is no way to run an offense. That is JD in a nutshell.

He's got potential, I don't think he'll be a finalist because he'll go a few games where he's hogging the ball and LSU loses one, but he'll be up there early in the season.

It’ll be hard being one riding the bench but keep smoking the ganja and see where it gets you.

Why? He has done nothing to set himself apart from other good players.
Boutte has had games that he has been a difference maker. Single game receiving record.
Same with Perkins.
Nuss, in the Georgia game, gave evidence that Daniels was no better than a 2nd teamer.
If Nuss had a bad play, "scoop and score", like Daniels at A&M, the Daniels fans would be leading the parade to take Nuss' scholarship. But instead they think Daniels should get a Heisman winner.

Why do you assume JD can’t ever replicate his successes and is only doomed to be as bad as his worst performances?

ETA: so…nothing?

He has replicated both good and bad.
However, IMO, he has had three bad performances in succession,
Arkansas, A&M, and Georgia. Not a good trend, wouldn't you agree? With his experience, 4 years, he should be trending toward Joe B performance, and not Brandon Harris. Yet some are saying we will win the Championship and Daniels will win the Heisman.

But one he's not just destined to continue. He comes out and has a great bowl game, then what? Just a fluke?

Not being a good passer makes him not a good QB.

Right. I stand corrected. Daniels is a marvelous QB.

I have no problem with your confidence in JD. I do not believe he will win Heisman. He is an excellent athlete but some days he couldnt hit water if he fell out of a boat!

His "point" is a strawman.

Why should anyone try to rebut it?
