If you grade on what was out there then a B. Very good class. Elite guys at the right spots. Missed on too many studs in state. No Dt? Lost ricks due to money.
Just overall grade, a top 10 class with a 285+ point total is an easy A.

If were just talking about what we have signed, sealed and delivered, he gets an A to A-. Come February that could become an A+, or fall to a B- depending on how we finish out.

he shouted and pouted that he came to SEC to challenge Nick Saban and fell flat in his first challenge in recruiting by not getting Ricks.

A- early on, but in my personal evaluation it's important to remember that he is selecting not only positions of need but being selective of the type of character that he is allowing into his program. To me that is a huge difference because we've already begun to see how it effects the mindset shift.... little to no off-season problems ( at least public) much more alliance and allignment, etc..

I give a solid A to this class with final results not till February. With NIL/Portal the recruitment game is a bigger circus than ever.
What I've seen and heard about Kelly the Most is he has changed the CULTURE of LSU football. I believe what Saban has installed at Bama that provides that elite consistency is discipline and culture of excellence in all aspects of life.
Kelly calls it installing the "process."

Solid A.
As for the high school recruits, I can't remember a class with such quality and so little drama at the end. I think this speaks volumes about the quality of the kids in the class.
This is an excellent first class (including transfers) for Kelly and addresses pretty much every need. I'm confident that Kelly has the ability to identify any remaining roster holes and fill them with quality players.

No, O did the opposite of what Kirby & Saban, once they won, Coaches and Parents of Recruits realize these 2 are for real. O struck Gold and most everyone with an inkling of knowledge knew this. He’s like a 5* recruit looking for the Biggest NIL deal, never really buying into the work ethic it takes to stay at the top. CBK is on that level and will Never get complacent. CBK is our answer and let me remind you he’s still only been here 11 months with an inherited dumpster fire and has already put it out and is building a Brand New Shiny foundation. If you can’t see it then you don’t know what it looks like. Kirby’s been there 6 years, give CBK at least 3 more to complete construction.

He doesn't deserve an A because he whiffed on a complete position of need in DT. Back to back years of nothing other than Hill last season who is a huge project.
Kelly said it himself he can't rely on portal numbers or portal for specific positions of need. After 2023 we are losing Wingo, smoth and Jefferson with Lee, Hill and Langston left that's a massive gap

Those numbers are interesting and are compatible with LSU’s futility vis-a-vis the Gumps.

Jefferson gives you 1 year
Lee is just a rotational piece
Shand is projected to take Gayes spot as a DE not DT

By LSU standards I give it a B+.

I gave him a B grade... and I objectively pointed out why. The class is really good - we just completely missed on DT which doesn't help considering the Bama and UGA of the world have stacked front lines on both sides of the ball every class.
