They were already using Ukraine to launder money for years and year, but now they can do it on a truly mindboggling scale in the 100s of billions.

Motherfrickers are barely hiding it and will have Oligarch Yachts soon.

It's the perfect scam after Afghanistan because you don't have Americans coming back in body bags.

Yes, because the Russian military is decimated without US military casualties.

this

but also it will be a boom to weapons sales with sweet jobs for many after gov service

also OP, the grift isnt in the stuff goign to ukraine, that is almost all weapons systems and the cash has tons of oversight.....but the cash that we seize and the property we seize.....wont. by that time people will have forgotten. that is where the real corruption and comes in.

im pretty sure, atleast i hope so, that nobody is under that impression. but some want to stop russian aggression(i would be in that genre) and beleive the ROI so far (6% of defense budget for destroying 50% of russian conv forces and 0 american lives) is pretty good.

I always wondered how the kickbacks are split up among the politicians. Briefcases full of money, ownership interest in some shell companies that get kickbacks through billing and profits, etc.

I usually picture some big clandestine party like in Goodfellas, and likely there is one of them careless with the money and another who is pissed and feels left out for not getting their share. Although there is certainly enough Ukraine money to go around.

GumboPot has a good understanding of this. I think part of the way this works is the money comes back home through programs like the McCain Institute and Clinton Foundation. It's part of the reason everyone went berserk on Trump when he only wanted to send weapons directly to Ukraine (not money). The State Department wants control over everything.

I'm sure there are all kinds of games with NGOs like National Endowment for Democracy.

Now, the pallets of cash to Iran probably did come back in suitcases.
