Long story short:
I got caught up in the office drama/gossip today. I'm close One of our co-workers (who is older and married with 2 kids) apparently was making out with another co-worker at party a couple of weeks ago. I was at the party but didn't see any of this.
My IRL friend and co-worker texted me this while I was on the phone with her for some work related stuff and I blabbed out "Apparently someone married was making out with another co-worker at a party"
Yeah it was her and she hung up pretty quick. Thought it was weird until my friend texted me that it was her.
frick my life.
This could have been a 3 sentence story.

Don’t worry about it. Really, you’re making this drama happen. As a veteran of many a Xmas party, let me reassure you: these things happen. And life goes on.
It’s that season.
It’s that season.

I ain't making shite happen I haven't told anyone yet other than her. Only reason I said something is because it popped up while we were talking.
I'm keeping my head down and working. No more gossip.

bullshite, it would be no fricking big deal that two adults make out at a party If it weren't idiots that run around the office like teen girls gossiping about it like the OP
Or don’t make out at a party w a coworker… then nobody can talk about it.

One of the oilfield companies I used to work for was known as "the mating place".
Plenty of sexy ladies worked there during the time I worked there

So females doing stuff then regretting it then someone else being the bad guy? Shocked!
Sounds like a textbook case of sexual assault.

Did a gift exchange where we drew names and swapped children’s toys that reminded you of that person and then donated all those to Toys for Tots.

Socrates, one of the greatest Greek philosophers, who lived from 469 – 399 BC, shunned gossip. It is said that one day he came upon an acquaintance who ran up to him excitedly and said, “Socrates, do you know what I just heard about one of your students?”
“Wait a moment,” Socrates replied. “Before you tell me I’d like you to pass a little test. It’s called the Triple Filter Test.”
“Triple filter?” his friend asked.
“That’s right,” Socrates continued. “Before you talk to me about my student let’s take a moment to filter what you’re going to say. The first filter is Truth. Have you made absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?”
“No,” the man said, “actually I just heard about it and…”
“All right,” said Socrates. “So you don’t really know if it’s true or not. Now let’s try the second filter, the filter of Goodness. Is what you are about to tell me about my student something good?”
“No, on the contrary… “
“So,” Socrates continued, “you want to tell me something bad about him, even though you’re not certain it’s true?” The man shrugged, a little embarrassed. Socrates continued. “You may still pass the test though, because there is a third filter – the filter of Usefulness. Is what you want to tell me about my student going to be useful to me?”
“No, not really,” the man admitted.
“Well,” concluded Socrates, “if what you want to tell me is neither True nor Good nor even Useful, why tell it to me at all?”

you don't have anything to worry about if all you said was
You weren't the actual drama, and you didn't name any names.
It's a company party. If people want to be stupid and mess around, they should also be prepared the hear some gossip about it because that's what is going to happen.
