Hill over Pinson (slightly)

Hill is shooting 33/23/65 and they haven’t played a good team yet

He makes Eric Gaines look like Chris jackson

Pinson shot 37/24/80 last year, so it's not like he was significantly better. Pinson also averaged 3 turnovers per game...double what Hill is averaging right now. And that was consistently happening in early season games last year...that only got worse once SEC play started.

Hill was shooting 34% (overall) 26% (three) before the last 3 games. Again, not good at all. But in comparison to Pinson's numbers really not that far off.

That's not to say Hill has been great (he hasn't). But I trust him controlling the offense a bit more than Pinson. For reference, LSU was ranked 323rd in the nation last season in turnovers per game. Pinson led LSU in turnovers per game and turned the ball over on nearly 23% of his possessions. Compare that with Hill who, despite being LSU's primary ball handler, is only averaging a little over 1 TO per game (11% of his possessions)

Everyone pissed and moaned about LSU not having a "true PG" last year. Now they have one and some on here are clamoring for the guy they complained about last season. Pinson was a better, though inconsistent scorer, last season. But the only thing he did with consistency was turn the ball over. Give me a PG that takes care of the ball first and foremost.
