I'm OK with this. After the last six years, I don't want the diehards back.

The establishment and former Cruzbots of the 2016 GOP primary don't get this.

What you don't get is the group of people digging in is likely to diminish

People moving on from Trump must happen organically; the more people push, attack, insult, attempt to force, the more people will dig in.

I think is pretty spot on. The problem here is that he’s giving people that aren’t die hards a reason to reevaluate their support and look for an alternative. So while his core support remains the same the pool he can draw from shrinks. He cannot afford that and the Republican Party will suffer by association. The dems stand to benefit greatly if he doesn’t figure this out.

The point LuckyTiger was making it is has to be done organically.

Here is a full article on the issue like it was written for LuckyTiger's comment: Republicans Insisting The Party ‘Move On’ Are Daring Voters To Do The Exact Opposite

Ok, troll! Never understood how people like you can hate America enough to vote Democrats back in after they lay the dick on us for last two years.

Thats pretty much been the entre point. Hide the other candidate talk about trump and only trump until people get so sick of him they just vote for the other guy. Who happens to be the worst candidate weve had in a long time.
