I think Josh Pate made a good point on this. While, more football is great for the fans it might not be good for the players playing it. Some teams may have to play 17 games if they make it to the championship...15 games is already a liability for these players. SO I think it would have the opposite effect.
I would rather take out a couple cupcake games to shorten the regular season in order to keep these guys healthy.

D3,D2, and FCS all have figured out how to make this work. Why would it not work in FBS? Take out the 12th game and add a second bye week.

100% agree. The dirty little secret is that the BCS would be a better system this year than the CFP. Now college football wants to increase teams in the field? It's going to kill the regular season.

And they claim that the top 4 are going to get a home game? That won't last long. Cities will bid for that like they do NCAA basketball tournament games.

This expansion is the beginning of the end.

In the century that set college football apart from all other sports, that loss and there is no chance for a championship....nor should there be. That's the difference. Playoff proponents are incapable of comprehending what made college football the greatest game on earth

The 4 team playoff already destroyed your thinking. See Ohio St. getting blown out in their one game against a top 10 opponent, yet still making the playoffs. The Ohio St./Michigan game a couple weeks ago was meaningless. Same goes for the Big 12 championship game.

Should really go to 16. Teams ranked 9-16 are all about the same and adding four more teams doesn’t add to the length of the playoff. All you’ll be doing is giving the top 4 a 1st round game.

It’s never going to stop until everyone is in the play. We haven’t even hit 12 yet and people are talking about expanding. Once we do, it’ll be “teams 17-18 have just as strong of a resume as 10-16”

context, bro. It was an 8-point game until 7 minutes left in the 4th quarter, when Michigan scored on 2 long runs, probably because OSU was taking some risks on defense. Even with those two long Michigan runs, the stats we about equal.

Ohio State would've missed the playoffs if USC would've won. The Michigan-OSU game was massive for playoff implications.
