Nuss made a few plays against the same defense that Daniels was moving the ball up and down the field on, with one good ankle. Let’s not exaggerate what we saw
Far too late for that. Half the rant has already crowned him better than Burrow.

can guarantee you Saban would have . Saban yanked Hurts in the Natty against Georgia and put in Tua .
Tua didn’t have a history of turning the ball over

A lot of people don't like Dabo but I have a lot of respect for him. He changed QB'S even though they weren't totally shitting the bed but they weren't playing to the level that won them championships. He isn't letting ego or arrogance get in the way of what it takes to better the team and admit you made the wrong choice.

Of course we’re not ignoring—it was impressive. But I don’t think it surprised anybody really—everybody knows Nuss has that kind of arm and the willingness to sling it. But you are being intellectually dishonest if you ignore his propensity to put the ball in danger. In a league with so much parity these days with a very thin roster, especially on defense, we couldn’t afford a bunch of turnovers regularly putting our defense back on the field.
And just like I think it was obvious Jayden made improvements throwing the ball (progression is not linear), I think Nuss is probably a lot better today than he was to begin the year, because it was obvious that his play in the Southern game is not conducive to winning SEC football games, and he was coached up to be better with his decision making. And hats off to him for working hard and getting better. But nothing he did Saturday “proves” that he should have been the starter all along. JD was obviously our best chance of winning games in the SEC.
I also think BK was playing the long-game a bit. He knew he wasn’t gonna get the buy-in he needed without wins. JD gave us the best chance for those immediate wins that lead to the buy-in. But also, I think Walker Howard played into that some. Starting a RFR Nuss all year long would have given him a huge advantage over Howard going into next year. I think he would still have opened up the competition going into next spring, but he didn’t want to chance losing Howard if he thinks he has the higher ceiling (and from everything I’ve heard, he clearly does. Better arm, and a unique maturity for his age.)
I’m interested to see what Jayden does. He is 100% our best chance to compete for a championship in ‘23. But playing Walker (or Nuss) obviously sets us up better for ‘24 and beyond. We’ll see what happens.

They are obtaining generational levels of wealth, so of course they have something of an ego. But they didn't get where they are though by letting their ego make bad decisions for them. So no, I don't believe their ego "gets in the way" of them doing their job to the best of the ability.

How do you think CBK felt Saturday when it was blatantly obvious to everyone that he made the wrong choice and started the wrong QB the entire year?
Hahahahahaha.
Only morons truly believe this.

Ego 100% comes into play. How do you think CBK felt Saturday when it was blatantly obvious to everyone that he made the wrong choice and started the wrong QB the entire year?
Yes the guy who has something actually at stake by winning or losing compared to fans is going to make the wrong choice just because and to spite fans
I also love the 20/20 hindsight based on 1 half of one game. We might have been 6-6 with Nussmirer for all you know. frick how many of you idiots were ripping Nuss for not playing in the stupid bowl last year, now you’re convinced if he started all year we’d be better than a season that was WAY better than anyone thought or could have reasonably expected get a fricking grip
