Interested to see what CBK does with the QB situation

Realistically, I don’t see how you could push the QB that just got you to an SEC championship out the door.
On the other hand letting a guy with a ton of potential like Nuss walk doesn’t feel great either. Especially considering the perceived connection he has the the WR group. Is it possible that we lose some talent at WR if Nuss leaves? Maybe , idk.
If Nuss does walk we still have Howard and Ricky Collins in the QB room with Collin Hurley coming in 2024.
IMO, I think CBK will let Nuss walk. Not saying that’s what I want, but I just don’t see JD leaving and I don’t see CBK pushing him out for Nuss. Which really leaves Nuss no option but to transfer.

Huge Freeze and YellaWood probably have a $250k NIL offer on the table for Nuss right now.
ETA: corrected "Yellow Wood" to YellaWood.

If you think NUSS is only commanding a quarter million, you’re sorely mistaken. Think seven figures, commensurate with his performance against Georgia.

Yea, I feel like Auburn will go after him, depending on who else pops up in the portal.

Who is "Yellow Wood?"

I am not saying he will but I think Purdue would be a perfect team for Nuss to start against. Above average team. Not a great pass rush. It would be a good team for BK to see exactly what Nuss can do if he is given the keys.

Auburn, Tennessee, and Kentucky all need a QB.

I believe you.
I was just guessing $250K.

one thing we should all be able to agree on about JD is that he gave us everything he had this year. that being said, if he's healthy and wants to play in the bowl i don't know how you could say no.
i'd rather see nuss, even though we don't know how he would play. Georgia wasn't prepared for him to come out and sling the ball, and there was no pressure. You'd get both the good and the bad from a young, inexperienced qb. of course, i want him to get experience.
It is what it is.

Sorry, YellaWood.
ETA: it is my understanding that YellaWood is a big Auburn benefactor.

Situation? The best player will play….. that’s not a situation. I’m willing to bet, there’s no “situation” in that building.

Maybe I'm naïve, but I don't think you have to push either out. State that it's an open competition in the spring and that he's open to a two QB system next year. If either decide to leave under those conditions, so be it.

If Jaden is healthy I am sure he will start.

Oh, okay. I thought they were taking a shot a Jim McElwain.

I think it is a situation. It certainly was a situation all the way up to the FSU game. If you watch the first episode of LSU gold CBK said the QB competition was extremely close. He’s got to make a decision on who he wants for next year. Based on that decision one of those guys is walking.

I honestly think Daniels enters the draft.
I think Nuss has the best shot at starting next year. He will have to fix the turnover issues, this is a big reason why he didn't see the field this year imo. CBK plays a ball control style of football, control the line of scrimmage and don't turn the ball over.
Interested to see what Howard has to offer.

If Nuss commands seven figures then college football as we know it is over. If a QB that quit on his team less than a year ago, is an int machine and has no coverage awareness, is getting over a mil just to practice then I'm not sure that's a sport I can really believe in or stand behind. Get ready for a lot of TAM and Texas titles. Their money will eventually buy then titles if the current model sticks. No way Nuss commands a million a year

He needs to sit down with JD and have an honest conversation about JD is not an NFL QB, he’s a gifted athlete but he’s too limited as a passer to be a QB in the league. He needs to be used as a Taysom Hill, an athlete that you use all over the field, a wildcat QB and WR.
