When you talk to the average fan, many really believe teams win/lose based on the starting 22. And, when healthy, the Saints do have one of the better starting 22 in the league. The problem is, the team hasn't been healthy for a few years, they have had to sacrifice depth to make the cap work, and even if fully healthy, those other 20+ guys would force this team to struggle against quality opponents.
Armstead didn't want to stay here with Winston but would have with Watson. The team could have resigned him with ease. Also, Armstead just missed his 2nd game of the year, not sure how many more he'll miss over the final 5 weeks with that pec injury
Not sure why happened between the team and MW, but they had the cap space to make it work
