I don't think nurses should be making these decisions, but neither should brainwashed doctors be making decisions in the opposite direction with 0% more grasp of the facts, and you and others held them up as heroes. I was one of the "heroes" under the pandemic, at least as far as getting the label (and the sweet Under Armour discounts), but I was under no illusion that it meant anything other than that the people calling me and other doctors "heroes" were gullible fools.
"Heroes" are 9/11 first responders rushing towards the Twin Towers. "Heroes" were the Japanese Daiichi reactor workers who knowingly subjected themselves to fatal doses of radiation to prevent further damage. Not heroes - TikToking doctors in pink scrubs dancing for social media attention.
