What do you think tax filings are? The government that investigates and prosecutes tax evasion has had access to this since the beginning.
Are you expecting Congress to investigate tax fraud? Are you expecting Congress to be able to make Trump prove things in his filings.
They can’t. They will be able to see how his taxes were filed and perhaps get insight into basic info like his actual income etc.

I know at one point they were looking into whether golf cart rentals for Secret Service at Trump resorts were properly reported - ya know, maybe as income, or reimbursement, or who paid what and who received what, yadda yadda. So they’re probably looking into that, surely. Cartgate. Maybe that’ll pan out for them. Bless their hearts.
