We are going to get a left wing one anyway. Show me another path for the right to carve out some plot of land to be left alone? They aren't going to let us separate, they aren't going to let us vote our way out, muh based latinos arent coming to save us (still voting 30-70 blue). Wine Moms aren't coming back. Blexit ain't happening. The Republican leadership we have wont do shite (Kevin McCarthy and John Thune aint saving us).

Blame lame arse libertarian Republican types who let go of the rope at some point a generation or so ago. Sold us out on immigration, amnesty, NAFTA, and giving away our election systems. The electorate is now too watered down, and the dems have completely gamed the ballot system in their favor. I don't see any simple way out of it.

This isn't the start of a Marxist takeover. It's damn near complete.

Yep, and there’s only one way out. There’s no way to set up a new form of government without getting rid of the one that was installed.

Your angst is misdirected.

Blame the SoCons and the Bushes with their "compassionate conservatism".

You could always just move if things are really that bad for you.

Do you think you would be in the group that would benefit from a dictator?

Because that's the thing about dictators - they are like a box of chocolates....

If it gets to the point of Brazil, with all the guns, lord help us all. I think that’s the push for guns, they know it’s coming to a crisis point if they keep openly stealing elections, and cutting our main energy supply, eventually people will be starving in the streets and fending for themselves; while loaded to the teeth….. this isn’t the place for that, so I don’t know if they are pulling these strings to destroy us from within, or just hoping everyone capitulates, but scary times ahead….

When I'm talking about libertarians, I'm talking about the Koch Bros, Club for Growth, and the Chamber of Commerce. Not Ron Paul.

This shite is so dumb.

Are you telling me that if we had a government full of Ron Pauls that we'd have the kind of government we do today?

There are a lot of variables as to why we have the problems we do today, but one of the biggest is our retarded electorate. The problem is government run schools and a government that subsidizes failure, which we libertarians have been against for ages.

I have no idea. All I know is our country was setup with a beautiful form of government, but that form of government no longer exists in the way it was originally intended. There is no way to put the toothpaste back in the tube. People will eventually fight back once cornered enough, and there will inevitably be a strong man or some strong men leading that resistance. This is just human nature.

This is why libertarianism won't work. Trust me, it pains me greatly to say that, because I love libertarian principles in theory. But we don't have the electorate capable of maintaining the form of government gifted to us by the founders. And it's only getting worse.
