No of course not. But it is a strong added incentive. I love my 2016 Tundra but it’s not 4WD and thatd be the main reason for getting a new one.

Same mine is 2WD and I'm really wanting a 4WD.

Well Car and driver does not Recommend 2023 Tundras. Don't know about 2022s except they were ranked last out of all full size trucks

Car and Driver follows certain criteria with their recommendations and reliability isn't one of them. They are more concerned with flash and gizmos and first impressions. I had one of their picks years ago and it was a fun car, but poorly engineered and even the service manager told me to dump it after three years.

A lot depends on what your habits are. If you trade vehicles often, C&D can be useful. If you keep a vehicle a long time and are concerned about cost of ownership, not so much.

I'm driving a SR5 demo. We will be "flipping" once I get to 10k or so. I was skeptical about the twin turbo V6 but I'm sold on it. Truck has good power and fuel mileage is wayyyyyyyyyy better.

What kind of mileage are you getting? I see the specs say 18/23/20.

I have an '04 and I get 16/18/17, though I have gotten as high as 20 and as low as 15 on the highway. I tend to drive with a heavy foot, so 17 is what I normally see for each tank.

And how does the power feel compared to the 5.7? And compared to the ecoboost?

I expect the truck feels slower than the ecoboost since it’s heavier.

My ‘22 has 275/60r20 KO2 and it is getting 18 mpg.

Drove it do OH in July and the truck got 22 mpg up there and back.
2 tanks of gas 575 miles one way.
