An 18-wheeler crashed on I-110 North in Baton Rouge early Wednesday, Nov. 30, and the cab came to rest under the elevated portion of I-110 South.

It happened on I-110 North near the Government Street exit before 2:30 a.m.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development reported the entire roadway on I-110 North at Government Street and the exit ramp from I-10 East to I-110 North are closed due to the crash.

Not really the same shite. Can’t recall an 18 wheeler hanging off the interstate.

Big rig drivers can’t focus enough to keep them between the lines.

How can something so heavily relied on (truck cargo) be one of the most incompetent forms of travel in this country?

It’s astonishing

The drivers are not the upper echelon of human evolution.

It will get better when trucks are automated and stay in the right lane. A significant amount of traffic and congestion is caused by truckers barely passing other truckers.

The best solution would be a HOV truck only 2 lane highway adjoined to every interstate. Trucks and cars on separate roads.

We basically have that already. It’s called trains.

Best solution certainly isn’t doubling road infrastructure and space. Not to meation the complexity of such a system with one of the two not having easy access to a frontage road.

Probably ran off the road by some guy with a beard on a bike with biker shorts and a mirror on his helmet.

Train deliveries are incredibly unreliable. We rarely get material on time. The amount of rail cars that go missing for weeks at a time at a random yard is astonishing. Most of that is due to railroads cutting customer service to save a dollar but it’s inefficient.

Quite literally happened on the Basin two weeks ago. Shutdown all Westbound traffic for hours.

Elon needs to get on drone cargo shipping technology. Would be an absolute game changer.

Hanging off I-110? You made the subject line sound like it went over the edge of an elevated section. Click bait bullshite. Made me click the link.

We don't have frontage roads in much of the country. Texas did a great thing designing their interstates with frontage roads along the lengths.

Take large cities with 10 or 12 lane interstates. Jersey barrier a center "HOV" style lane for vehicles over 3 axles.
Places with 4 lane interstates enforce a strict right lane only rule.

Reminds me of the time this happened on the basin bridge that "Rescue 911" featured. Trucker when through windshield off bridge right into the water

The physics in that picture aren’t adding up. How is one trailer heavier than the truck and other trailer? What’s he got back there?
