I’m looking to buy some silver, actual silver I can hold in my hand. What is the best way to accomplish this?
I want to start giving my grandkids silver for their birthdays and holidays.
Thanks

APMEX.com is where I get my Silver eagles and Brittannia’s. JM Bullion is okay too.
You can also buy directly from the mints but that takes a long time.

Not sure why you are choosing silver specifically, but that's not my business.
I have used APMEX and have no complaints. They charge a premium but they have a strong reputation and they are a solid shop if your game is to buy a hold for years (or decades). If you are going to store silver for a while, get some sleeves and either a safe deposit box or a decent sized home safe. $5,000 in silver takes up a lot more space than $5,000 in gold.

Buying it mostly to protect money and value. If it goes up, great. Will also look into gold, thanks.

If you'd like to head to shiner to tour the brewery, there's also this: Texas Precious Metals

APMEX is a good place to sell when you need to. There is the spread but they are liquid buyers.

Premiums are way too high right now.

Silver is 60% lower than it was over 10 and 40 yr old ATHs. Your fiat $ under your mattress gave better value.

I usually buy some for my son every year but everyone is charging too much right now

Premium almost double on Eagles.
The people that make $ are the fear porn dealers.
If there was low supply with this huge demand, prices would be well into triple digits.

all depends on whether you are referencing Physical or Paper .....

This may sound crazy but Walmart.com. They have large selections of coins, bars, foreign currencies. Hell, you can even get a Kruggerand. LINK
