My guess is Myles realized it, and was tired of being lied to

Because remember when Myles Brennan decided to come back JD wasn't on the roster then.

You can continue to spin this like MB got screwed, but Kelly is building a better program at LSU. What did MB do to "win" the QB competition? LSU is building a championship program and no one will be "owed" a job if they don't perform. I know MB quit because he couldn't handle what it took to be the starting QB at LSU, anymore, too many physical setbacks, and MB decided to quit playing football.

Oh no, did I hurt your little feelings? Did MB get lied to and it was all a charade? What reason would there be for MB to be lied to? You're making stuff up and believing the same ole tired narrative that MB is one of us, so he has to be great!

Or, did MB come back and the coaching staff realize that MB had too many physical setbacks and couldn't make it so they brought in someone to push him?

Yeah, 2-2 starts against unranked competition really bring back the good feelings.

He didn’t. He quit, and only came back when Johnson left and he thought there was no one else to challenge him.

How many starters did the Mizzou defense have out with covid in that game?

You’re in good company then, since all you’re doing is guessing too.

Good question. According to the Advocate article, 1 on defense (a DL). Also had 2 backup DBs out.

Without any evidence, I go with what was shown, in camp and spring training. I don't care that the young man didn't want to play football anymore, but to try and keep this tale alive, that MB was lied to is preposterous. I know that he was given a chance and was told that he would be the front runner for the starting job should he do everything he needed to do. Go listen to what Kelly said when he spoke about MB coming back from the portal. The fact that Kelly brings in another QB, for whatever reason, has no bearing on what was discussed between MB and BK. He was beat out of the starting job. But you keep believing what you want, but when it comes to posting lies, you're not doing the young man any good by perpetuating this charade. Let him be done with football. I'll ask you this, if he was lied to, why didn't he re-enter the portal and play somewhere else?

Nothing he could do in my opinion.
Once JD transferred here coach Kelly had his guy.
Nuss and Myles at that point was fighting for the backup spot.
This particular roster was better suited for Myles Brennan than JD with the recievers we have.

Why didn't MB fight for the back up spot if Kelly had his guy? Seems he would have been the front runner and could have easily been put in games where JD underperformed and proved he should be the starter.

He would have been crushed behind the 0-line the first few games.

2 chances from the 1 yard line to get the ball to a receiver and he couldn't do it, making two bad reads. that is the last memory I have of myles brennan.

Curious, how does your ilk remember Matt Flynn - by his last play in TS?

squints …. 0-10 on 3rd downs

But muh defense…

Four turnovers forced with following starting field position

MIZ47 (TD LSU)
MIZ25 (TD lsu)
MIZ31 (LSU FG)
MIZ5 (LSU TD)

24 gift wrapped points in Missouri territory

This is how you score points when you go 0 for frickin 10 on 3rd downs

I remember the rant wanting brennan benched during the mizzou game. he missed a ton of throws in that one and choked at the end.
