Most of the time there are only 3 deserving teams. I don't want CFP to be a sport where 4 loss teams are winning championships- that would be ridiculous

Easy, then just win the playoff games
IMO, 12 is a good number of teams, it works out to where it's almost like an 8 team playoff. Top 4 seeds get a bye, then you have a play in for seeds 5-8 to determine their opponents. It makes for more relevant games through out the season. Going into last weekend, there were maybe 7 teams that thought that they had a shot at making the CFP? That means games were irrelevant for 120+ teams.

Those teams have no chance to win a 12 team playoff. They’ll just get obliterated in a first round game.
The number of blowouts incoming in a 12 team playoff will shock people. It shouldn’t be a surprise given the CFP’s history so far, but a lot of people seem to have deluded themselves into thinking 11-1 G5 teams won’t get destroyed be actual top programs that are locked in for a playoff game.

well so many wanted the fricking playoff.....here is the problem with the playoff(and many of us noted it would ruin the sport) its made the sport, playoff or fricking bust......nobody cares about anything else anymore. Used to be win the conference was the goal and if other things fell in line...cool. not now
so now you have 90% of teams out before november and half the country out of the race. Well that makes interest across the country wane.
so since we cant take back the playoff and go back to how it was....we now need to create a system where it keeps lots and lots of teams vested. best way to do that is 12-16 teams.
sorry but you wanted the playoff....this is what you will get some years.
and thats fine. im not gonna bitch about more games.
so in short...if we are going to have a playoff....12-16 is best way. have a real playoff and keep teams vested.
